Mission Statement

The recycle-pc process as defined by the originators of recycle-pc

Mission Part 1:

1) The waste (unwanted computers and associated peripherals) recycle-pc save from being disposed of in landfill sites is taken to the recycle-pc workshop. It is checked for the following:

a) age,

b) suitability for recycling i.e. a working CPU of sufficient capacity to operate  with modern software. A visual check is usually enough to determine the  usability/capacity of a CPU contained within a computer.

c) electrical and electronic safety.

b) bundle of software end users can easily manage to maintain the operating  system.

c) latest software updates.

2) The finished end product is a computer saved from being disposed of in landfill, a keyboard, mouse and monitor, and connecting cables including electrical power supply and signal.

3) The finished or end product is tested for electrical safety.

Mission Part 3:

1) the end product (recycled computer and peripherals) is advertised free on web sites where users can find or donate recyclable products free of charge.

2) the end product is made available through this media to the following:

a) disabled persons.

b) elderly.

c) charity.

d) community groups and projects.

3) the donated recycled computers can be collected from the recycle-pc workshop.
